Lasagna!!

Saturday 6/2 Day 43
Farms out here
Today I tried the Subway breakfast. I didn't like it, not enough flavor. I think next time I do it, if I do I will put some sauce on it. This morning was a pretty early morning, I packed up and took a while to find a couple items then said goodbye to a snoozing Nick and went on east. After subway I worked my way out of town on the back roads. It took a while. I really enjoyed the water towers today because of how flat it was. I could anticipate my next ice break miles ahead of where it would take place. The weather has been warming up and the humidity is still a bit high for my liking but usually by the afternoon clouds have rolled in and I can take protection behind their shade. One thing that struck me while I was riding through Minnesota and Wisconsin was the realization of how much farmland is in America. I mean I knew we had a lot but we have a ton!! It is everywhere, and the neat thing is seeing how in different parts of the USA they farm the land completely different.
Well for the most part winds were to my back today and travels went pretty quickly. I called Jann, whose number I got from Tony, to see if I could stay with her tomorrow night. Chuck her husband and Jann were excited and so was I. My last section coming up to my place tonight had a few big hills that took it out of me. Oh ya one more flat tire in the books, ehhh I think they are from to much weight which pinches the tube. But I don't know because I have less weight on my bike now then when I started.
Wisconsin
Tonight I was staying with Rodger and Annie. Rodger started to ride his bike out to meet me on the road but found out I was a bit far away so I met him at his house. He helped me set up my tent in the yard when I got there. Rodger was retired mechanic that worked on vehicles in the army, including the m1 tank. He also has spent a lot of time around bikes and does quite a bit of work with wood. He would later help me tighten down my shifters in my handle bars. I love meeting and learning from people who are masters of things, it is so easy to learn from them. It also amazes me how little I knew about bikes before I started this trip and now I could probably build my own.
Beard is getting longer
Well I took a long warm shower and came out for some dinner. I met their daughter in law and their granddaughter also. Annie made lasagna for dinner with salad and some ice cream for desert. Finished the night out by watching independence day.
